Why the Love Lab
There's Something That Happens When Everyone in the Room Finally Gets It
Individual therapy and couples therapy are powerful — but there's something distinct about being with other neurodiverse couples. The recognition. The relief. The moment someone names something you've never heard named before, and you both look at each other and exhale.
The Love Lab is built for that. Small enough that every couple gets real attention. Structured enough that nobody gets lost. Safe enough that people say the real things.
🫂
You're not the only ones
Being in a neurodiverse relationship can feel profoundly isolating. The Love Lab puts you in a room with people who understand — not in theory, but in daily, lived practice.
🧠
Built from the ground up for this
This isn't a general couples group adapted for neurodiverse relationships. It's built from scratch for the specific challenges and strengths of mixed-neurotype and dual-ND partnerships.
🔒
Small enough to be real
Maximum 3–4 couples. Every partnership gets real attention. No one disappears into the background. The intimacy of the group is part of what makes it work.
"A small, intentional space where neurodiverse couples can finally stop explaining themselves — and start being understood."
The August 2026 Cohort
A Closed Group. A Committed Container. A Real Community
3–4
Couples max — small by design
Weekly
Sessions — same group, same time every week
Aug–Oct
2026 cohort — 3 months together
Closed
Group — no new members once enrolled
The Love Lab runs as a closed cohort — the same 3–4 couples, meeting weekly together from August through the end of October 2026. Enrollment closes once the cohort is full. This structure is intentional: consistency and trust are what make the depth possible.
Why a Closed Cohort?
Many neurodiverse support groups are drop-in or open-enrollment, which means strangers rotate in and out. That format makes real depth almost impossible — especially for nervous systems that need consistency and predictability to open up.
The Love Lab is different. The same couples, the same facilitator, every week. You know who will be there. You know the space. You can go deeper because the container holds.
"The depth grows as trust builds. That's not possible in a drop-in group. It requires consistency — and that's exactly what this cohort structure provides."
What Happens in the Love Lab
Weekly Sessions That Build Something Real Over Time
The Love Lab isn't a drop-in workshop. It's an ongoing weekly group with a consistent membership — which means the depth grows as trust builds across the three months.
🧭
Guided weekly sessions
Being in a neurodiverse relationship can feel profoundly isolating. The Love Lab puts you in a room with people who understand — not in theory, but in daily, lived practice.
💬
Real conversation, not performance
The group culture is honest and grounded. No pressure to present a polished version of your relationship. What's real is welcome here.
🛠️
Skills and shared language
Every session builds something practical — communication tools, nervous system awareness, shared language for what happens between you and your partner.
🤝
Community that understands
Being with other neurodiverse couples who are doing the same work creates a kind of permission and normalization that therapy alone can't provide.
What We Cover Together
Three Months of Intentional Work
Topics are co-shaped by the needs of the group — and include:
- Understanding each other's neurological wiring
- Communication across different neurotypes
- Sensory needs, shutdowns, and nervous system regulation
- The pursue-withdrawal cycle in neurodiverse couples
- Masking, RSD, alexithymia, and what they cost the relationship
- Conflict, repair, and returning to each other
- Emotional labor and overfunctioning dynamics
- Building intimacy that works for how both of you are wired
- The Neurodivergent Spiral of Life — a shared map for where you are and where you're going
"You stop navigating by guesswork. You get language for what's happening — and a community that actually gets it."
Investment
Simple, Transparent Pricing
The Love Lab is priced per couple per month — for both partners together. This is not individual therapy pricing doubled. It's group pricing that reflects the shared investment of showing up consistently for three months.
August–October 2026 Cohort
$3,000 per couple
Payment plans available. Enrollment by application — Clarity & Connection Zoom required before a spot is confirmed.
What's Included
- Weekly group sessions, August through end of October 2026
- Both partners attend every session together
- Facilitated by Blaze — same facilitator every week
- Access to the Neurodivergent Spiral of Life framework
- Session notes and resources shared after each meeting
- A closed, private group — no drop-ins, no rotating members
- A community of 3–4 neurodiverse couples doing the same work
This cohort is limited to 3–4 couples. Once it's full, it's full. There will be no exceptions — the small size is what makes the depth possible.
Is This the Right Fit?
The Love Lab Is Right for Some Couples — and Not for Others. Here's the Honest Picture
✅ This is a good fit if:
- One or both partners is autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD
- Both partners are willing — both attend every session
- You're ready to show up consistently for three months
- You can be present in a small group setting
- You want community alongside clinical support
- You're not currently in active crisis
- You're open to other couples' experiences as part of your growth
❌ This may not be the right fit if:
- Either partner is in active crisis or safety is a concern
- One partner is not willing to attend
- Individual trauma work is the primary need right now
- The relationship is in immediate danger of ending
- Group settings feel unsafe for either partner's nervous system
If this describes you, individual or couples therapy may be a better starting point — and the Clarity & Connection Zoom is the right place to figure out what fits.
Common Questions
You Might Be Wondering…
Do both partners have to attend every session?
Yes. The Love Lab is designed for both partners to attend every week. The consistency of the group — and the trust it builds — depends on everyone showing up. If one partner can't commit to weekly attendance, the timing may not be right.
What if we're also in individual therapy or couples therapy?
That's completely compatible — and often complementary. Many couples find that the group work accelerates and deepens what they're doing in individual sessions. We just ask that you let your other therapist know you're participating.
Will we have to share things we're not ready to share?
No. The group culture is one of consent and pacing. You share what you're ready to share. Nobody is pushed to disclose anything before they're ready. The facilitator holds that boundary actively.
What if we don't connect with the other couples?
The enrollment process — which includes a Clarity & Connection Zoom with Blaze — is partly designed to ensure that the couples in the group are a compatible fit for each other. You won't be placed with couples whose needs or dynamics would feel destabilizing to yours.
Will there be another cohort if we miss this one?
Potentially — but it's not guaranteed, and the timing of the next cohort isn't confirmed. The August 2026 cohort is the one that's open right now. If you're interested, the Clarity & Connection Zoom is the right next step.
Is this covered by insurance?
Insurance is not accepted. Out-of-pocket payment is required. A Superbill is provided after each month for potential insurance reimbursement. It's worth asking your insurer about out-of-network mental health benefits.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#151788), neurodivergent couples specialist, and founder of Love on the Autism Spectrum. I facilitate the Love Lab because I know what it means to finally be in a room where you don't have to explain the basics — and how much that changes.
I've been in a neurodiverse marriage for over 40 years. I discovered my own neurodivergence at 57. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University, with advanced training in Autism, ADHD, and Complex Trauma. The Love Lab is built on the Neurodivergent Spiral of Life framework I created for this work.

🟢 Spots Are Limited — Cohort Closes When Full
