A podcast for neurodivergent adults, couples, and leaders who are tired of being told to communicate better, try harder, or fix themselves in systems that were never designed for how they're wired.

About the Show

A Space Where Your Way of Loving Deserves to Be Understood

With decades of clinical experience, and over 40 years of lived relationship experience, Blaze offers a calm, emotionally intelligent space where nothing about you needs to be defended, explained, or pathologized.

"Each episode slows things down. We make room for nervous-system safety, emotional clarity, and the patterns that actually shape neurodiverse relationships, without blame, pressure, or performance."

This is not advice-driven content or performance-based healing. It's a steady, humane space to exhale and to recognize yourself without having to justify who you are.

New episodes release every Wednesday.

Before You Listen

A quick care note that begins every episode:

This podcast is for education and reflection only. Listening does not create a therapeutic relationship, and Blaze is licensed as a therapist only in the state of California.

Any examples shared are fictional or composite in nature. The ideas offered here are meant to support your understanding, not replace individualized care.

If you're in crisis or need immediate support, please reach out to a local provider or call 988 in the U.S.

Okay. Let's begin.

What You'll Find Here

What Every Episode Offers

Each episode blends lived experience, clinical wisdom, and nervous-system awareness. Episodes move at a regulated pace and reflect the real questions people are carrying.

Relationship Guidance

Grounded in lived experience and clinical depth. Not theory, not performance, not advice that doesn't fit your nervous system.

Nervous System Support

Tools for emotional burnout, regulation, and relational repair. Practical enough to use. Gentle enough to actually try.

Communication Frameworks

Clear, compassionate frameworks that help both partners feel safe and heard, without requiring anyone to mask harder.

Honest Reflections

Trauma-informed insight that respects sensory and emotional capacity. Language that brings clarity without overwhelm.

Masking & Identity

Real talk about unmasking, late diagnosis, burnout, and the particular exhaustion of performing neurotypicality for decades.

Permission to Rest

This isn't a hustle episode. It's an understanding one. You don't have to listen fast. Take this at your pace.

Who This Is For

This Podcast Was Made for You If…

  • You're autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, or trauma-impacted and want support that actually fits
  • You're in a neurodiverse relationship and still feel unseen, stuck, or disconnected, even after trying
  • You're the one who's been holding it all together and wondering how much longer you can
  • You've tried traditional therapy and left feeling like the problem, not the person
  • You're exploring a late diagnosis and need language for what you've always felt
  • You're a therapist, coach, or professional who wants lived-experience insight alongside clinical frameworks
  • You just want somewhere to exhale without being told to try harder

Why This Show Is Different

Most conversations about autism still center on childhood or parenting. This podcast begins where those conversations end: with adults seeking love, intimacy, and emotional connection.

This isn't a show about labels or deficits. It's a deeply human exploration of what it takes to create relationships where both nervous systems can breathe. If you're ready for more personalized support, explore neurodiverse couples therapy or adult assessments.

Inside Every Episode

How Each Episode Is Structured

Episodes run 13–20 minutes. Calm, grounded, relational. Some are more educational. Others are story-led. All are guided by the same intention: to help you slow down, make sense of your experience, and feel less alone, especially if you're emotionally exhausted, in a neurodiverse couple, or navigating late diagnosis.

  1. Intro & Care Note A consistent, grounding opening that reminds you this is a safe space and sets appropriate expectations.
  2. The Core Idea One Spiral pattern, lived reality, or relational dynamic, named simply and spoken like Blaze is sitting across from one person.
  3. Three Practical Tools Gentle, usable tools that respect capacity and readiness. These are not fixes. They are invitations.
  4. Speaking Directly to You A moment of attunement. Blaze names what you might be feeling, normalizes it, and reminds you you're not alone or behind.
  5. A Lived Story A brief composite moment that illustrates the theme. No over-sharing. No teaching from the story; the meaning lands naturally.
  6. Home Practice Three simple, optional practices: something to notice, something to pause, something to try gently, if and when ready.
  7. Mid-Episode Invitation A quiet moment where Blaze offers her free guide, You're Not Too Much. You're Just Alone in the Repair. An invitation, not a sales pitch. The link is always in the show notes.
  8. Companion Content Every episode is paired with a companion post on the Love on the Autism Spectrum blog.
